The collapsible colander expands to a capacity of up to 4 quarts. The unique design allows it to collapse down to a mere one and a half inches, the thickness of two dinner plates. When collapsed, it takes up to 80% less space in a dishwasher than a comparable sized standard colander. When flattened, the surfaces and holes remain exposed for optimal cleaning.
